Swan Cottage Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. PRICE

The price includes all elements and services specified on our website .   The price does not include:

  •  personal holiday insurance,
  •  services not specified, emergency costs of any kind..
  1. ALTERATIONS BY US:

We shall endeavor at all times to meet your requirements effectively and efficiently.   If the need for alterations is imposed upon us by events outside of our control, we shall maintain the same high quality of service whenever possible.  We reserve the right to alter arrangements because of circumstances beyond our control.  We shall inform you as soon as possible of such changes.  If any major changes are unacceptable to you, a full refund will be given.

  1. ALTERATIONS BY YOU:

Amendments or additions to your original booking may be possible but may incur an additional charge.  Refunds are normally not given for reduced use of accommodation or services arising as a consequence of changes you make to your booking.

  1. CANCELLATIONS BY US:

Only the most exceptional circumstances would prompt a total cancellation.  However, we reserve the right to cancel a booking in the face of circumstances beyond our control.  A full refund will be given promptly but no liability will be accepted for consequential loss(es) of any kind.  Compensation would need to be sought through your own insurance.

  1. CANCELLATION BY YOU:

Should you need to cancel, please inform us immediately by phone. Your decision must then be confirmed in writing.

Whilst we would wish to respond sympathetically to cancellations, the following charges will apply.

If you give notice:

  •  35 or more days before your scheduled arrival  date: deposit only.
  • 34-21 days before your scheduled arrival date:  50% of the total booking price.
  • 20-7 days before your scheduled arrival  date:  75% of the total booking price;
  • less than 7 days before your scheduled arrival  date: the total booking price.
  1. INSURANCE:

It is your responsibility to obtain suitable and adequate insurance for the period of the booking.

  1. CONTRACT:

No contract shall exist until: a booking is received by us AND the appropriate deposit or full payment is paid.

  1. PAYMENT:

You agree to make full payment of any remaining balance to reach Praxis 30 days before your scheduled arrival date.

In the event of non-payment, Praxis reserves the right to cancel your booking and demand the applicable cancellation charge.

  1. COMPLAINTS:

We hope and intend that you thoroughly enjoy your stay at Swan Cottage.  Should you have a complaint, please raise the matter with us immediately.  Problems can often be remedied quickly if raised promptly; failure to do so will adversely affect any claim at a later date.

In the event of continued dissatisfaction, the complaint should be made in writing on your return home.  Praxis will investigate fully and report back to you as rapidly as possible.  If an outcome cannot be agreed between us, we agree to the matter going to independent arbitration.
